Privacy Policy

Introduction

Robots.mu is a Mauritius-based robotics publication. This policy describes data handled by this website, including the contact form, newsletter and optional AI assistant. It does not cover a robot vendor, integrator or system mentioned in our content.

Data you choose to provide

The contact form receives your name, email address, topic and message. The newsletter form receives your email address. Do not include confidential plant layouts, employee data, safety records or other sensitive operational information.

AI assistant

If the assistant is configured and you send a chat message, the recent conversation is sent to OpenAI to generate a reply. Replies may be wrong and are not engineering, safety or purchasing advice. Do not share sensitive operational data. If the assistant is not configured, no conversation is sent to OpenAI.

How data is used and shared

Contact details are used to review and respond to your message. Newsletter details are used to manage the subscription and send updates. The site may use hosting, email, database, newsletter, analytics and AI providers to perform those functions. We do not sell personal data.

Tools, analytics and browser storage

Explorer filters, selector answers and payback inputs are processed in your browser and are not sent to us by those tools. When analytics is enabled, the site loads a self-hosted Umami script to measure aggregate use. The site also uses Google Analytics 4 behind a consent banner, so nothing is loaded and no cookie is written until you accept, a decline is remembered for 180 days, and no advertising signals are enabled. Essential network data may still be processed to deliver and protect the site.

Retention and security

We retain personal data only as needed for the purpose collected, operational records and applicable obligations. We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet service can promise absolute security.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe using the link in a newsletter. Depending on applicable law, you may also request access, correction or deletion of personal data, or object to some processing, by emailing [email protected]. We may need to verify the request.
